Brendan Mullan, Astronomer

Profile of the National Geographic Emerging Explorer
Client: National Geographic Education Program

This video is one of a series of three videos produced for the National Geographic Education program in Fall of 2013. The main goal of the series is to encourage middle and high school students to become more engaged in science classes and to perceive a career in science as more than a mad scientist sitting in a lab performing experiments with frothing beakers of liquid. This particular episode highlights the career of Brendan Mullan, an astronomer, who details his inspiration for becoming an astronomer and describes the feeling of being the first person to discover something as a scientist.

For this video, I crafted the story arc, edited the interviews and b-roll together, and incorporated background music.
